would come again
Room 31 was super spacious with a huge bathroom and the biggest shower I've seen. The bed was comfy, perfect for unwinding after a long day. The atmosphere was cozy with low beams, which added character. The staff were helpful. Great location, just a short stroll from the harbour and the castle. Food was awesome, especially the Welsh pie and chicken skewers. Parking was nearby, but it can get a bit tight.

car park was a bit tight and we had trouble finding a spot at times. It got a little noisy in the evening.

Cozy atmosphere with historical charm.
During my stay, the noise was unbearable, especially at night as guests moved around the old building. The narrow stairs made transporting my luggage a major hassle, and there seemed to be limited parking available. It was stressful to get in and out, and I felt that basic amenities like breakfast should have been included given the price we paid.

This place suits me perfectly with great wi-fi, a cozy bar/lounge area, and a lovely restaurant. On my first stay, the staff even helped with currency tips. Highly recommended for a city trip!

The pub area boasts a charming, authentic vibe with beautiful decor—a great spot to unwind after a long day. The location near the playground is handy if you've got kids, making it easy to keep them entertained for a bit.
Rooms can feel cramped and stifling. the windows open right into a busy playground and outdoor seating area, limiting privacy. Amenities are lacking—hard beds, a bare-bones closet setup, and dispensers for body wash that feel more like a public restroom than cozy accommodation. Dining options can be overpriced, with dishes like lamb shank priced at £24, but falling short on quality.

Consider sharing main dishes at dinner. the portions are large, making it ideal for couples or friends to enjoy more variety.

The historical decor exudes charm with oak beams creating a cozy vibe. A quick five-minute walk leads you to the castle, which is a highlight of the location.
The breakfast setup has shifted, requiring guests to serve themselves, which some may find inconvenient, especially seniors. The dining experience can get chaotic during peak hours, with tables hard to secure and longer wait times for meals, leading to missed opportunities to try the menu. the bathroom in the Black Jacks room had a shower that felt inconsistent—freezing cold and fixed in one position, making for an uncomfortable experience.

Charming stay with great vibes
Had a fab time at this spot! The room was super cozy with those cool beams. Breakfast was legit—freshly cooked and mouthwatering. The local beers in the bar were a nice touch too, and the place has a really chill atmosphere. Only thing was the shower could’ve been a bit more powerful, but it didn’t ruin my stay at all!

This was just an optimal selection for a trip in Caernarfon with good value for cost. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, making the stay much more enjoyable. Look for car parking options nearby as it's a bit tricky around the area.
